To foster economic growth that results in job creation/retention and an increased tax base; while providing resources and services to visitors and the citizens of Rice.

Goals & Strategies

Goal: Attract New Business/Industry

  • Strategy: Promote Rice as a growing community willing to work together with businesses/industries.
  • Strategy: Capitalize on opportunities provided by being located on the US Highway 10 corridor and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railway.
Goal: Enhancing Existing Business Conditions
  • Strategy: Locate resources to assist local businesses with retention, expansion, creation and attraction.
  • Strategy: Promote opportunities that assist in the development of technology skills.
  • Strategy: Build respectable business relationships that demonstrates and inspires a community partnership.
Goal: Maintain the Character of Rural Rice
  • Strategy: Continue to work towards an organized growth plan that provides proper locations/opportunities for diversified environments.
